Courthouse Wedding in West Palm Beach

on One of Florida’s Coldest Mornings.

Palm Beach Island Florida Worth Avenue Bride and Groom

Last week I photographed one of those weddings that quietly stays with you.

It was an early-morning courthouse wedding in Palm Beach County, and unusually cold for Florida. On my drive to the courthouse, I’ll admit I was a little worried — would the weather stop us from doing portraits afterward? Would they want to rush back into warmth?

I didn’t need to worry at all.

Because it was just the two of them, V & A were offered their ceremony in the beautiful Lilly Pulitzer Room — a sweet, elegant space that instantly made me smile. Intimate, personal, and exactly right for them.

After the ceremony, we stepped outside the historic courthouse for a few quick portraits before heading over to Worth Avenue. The plan was simple: pose, smile, click click click, back into the jackets — and repeat. A quick burst of photos with just enough time to laugh between shots.

When we reached the Worth Avenue Clock Tower, we stumbled upon a commercial shoot for the The Colony Hotel — one of my absolute favorite wedding venues in the area. The crew couldn’t have been kinder and let us squeeze in a few quick photos for this lucky couple.

Moments like that don’t happen by accident.

These two were true troopers — relaxed, joyful, and completely in love, even on what felt like the coldest Florida day of the year. Right after the photos, they headed off for a local resort honeymoon to warm up and celebrate properly.

V & A, congratulations. You were amazing, and it was such an honor to photograph your day If you’re planning a Palm Beach courthouse wedding, an intimate elopement, or a simple ceremony followed by portraits around Worth Avenue or the Clock Tower, I’d love to help you document it — beautifully, naturally, and stress-free.
