Love is Love at Rayshell Ranch: An Intimate Loxahatchee Wedding Celebration
There is something incredibly special about an intimate wedding. When you strip away the 200-person guest list and focus on the two people at the center, the air feels different. It feels intentional.
Recently, I had the absolute joy of photographing a beautiful wedding at Rayshell Ranch in Loxahatchee. If you haven't been, this 15-acre gem is the perfect rustic escape—waterfront views, a charming gazebo, and an air-conditioned barn that feels like a hidden oasis. But the real magic wasn't the scenery; it was the couple.
Two incredible women tied the knot surrounded by their closest friends and family. They were sweet, they were hilarious, and their joy was genuinely infectious.
The Conversation That Stayed With Me
During our pre-wedding consultation, one of the brides shared something that broke my heart a little. She expressed a deep concern about my experience and, more importantly, my attitude toward same-sex marriage.
She was worried about whether she could truly "be herself" in front of my lens, or if she would encounter the same "strange attitudes" or judgment that so many in the LGBTQ+ community face when hiring wedding vendors.
By the time we were ten minutes into our shoot, those worries had completely vanished. We were laughing, capturing candid moments by the pond, and celebrating their love exactly as it is: perfect.
Why "Inclusive" is More Than Just a Keyword
It’s 2026, and many people think that the "worry" over finding an accepting photographer is a thing of the past. But for my couples, that worry is still very real.
I’ve seen how people treat my own friends with "strange attitudes," and I’ve seen the hesitation in a couple’s eyes when they ask, "Are you okay with a same-sex wedding?"
My answer is always a resounding YES. I am not just "okay" with it; I am an experienced photographer who considers it an honor to document these stories. I don't treat a same-sex wedding "the same" as any other wedding—I treat it with the extra level of care and preference it deserves.
To My Future Grooms & Brides
Whether you are two brides at a rustic ranch or two grooms eloping at the courthouse, know this: You are safe with me.
Actually, my "guy couples" are often some of the most fun and high-energy sessions I’ve ever had! There is a unique joy in those celebrations that I absolutely live for. When you book me, you aren't just getting someone who "accepts" you; you’re getting a photographer who is your biggest fan, your advocate, and someone who sees the beauty in your love without any "strange attitudes" attached.
The Rayshell Ranch Experience
To our beautiful couple at the Ranch: Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for letting your guard down and letting me see the real, funny, sweet connection you share.
If you're looking for a venue that offers that "country class" and a photographer who will celebrate your love story exactly as it is, Rayshell Ranch and I are ready for you.
